We deal with the usual cladding problems: green algae, black streaks running down the panels, dirty and faded boards, and the build-up you get on shaded, north-facing walls that rarely dry out.
How we do it
- Inspection. We check the cladding type, its condition and how much algae or streaking there is, then choose the safest method for that material.
- Pre-wash. Loose dirt, cobwebs and surface debris cleared, and surrounding greenery dampened down to protect it.
- Soft wash treatment. A low-pressure cleaning solution is worked across the panels, breaking down algae, grime and staining at the root rather than just on the surface.
- Dwell and rinse. The solution is left to work, then rinsed off thoroughly, leaving no residue on the panels and no water behind the boards.
Why it matters
Dirty cladding lets the whole building down, and the problem is more than cosmetic. Green algae and black streaks hold moisture against the panels and joints, and over time that weathers the finish faster than it should.
Blasting cladding with a high-pressure jet is one of the quickest ways to crack a panel, strip a painted finish or push water behind the boards. That’s why we soft wash it instead. Low pressure and the right cleaning solution shift the growth itself rather than just the surface dirt, so the clean lasts longer, and Ryan is Module 2 chemical-handling certified so the solutions are mixed and applied properly. We still do plenty of jet washing and pressure washing on surfaces that can take it, like driveways and patios; cladding just isn’t one of them.
