What we clean

Elite Jetwashing Services cleans exterior cladding on homes and commercial units across Bolton and the North West:

  • uPVC cladding and shiplap boards
  • Composite and timber-effect cladding
  • Painted and coated cladding
  • Garden rooms, extensions and porches
  • Commercial and industrial cladding: units, warehouses, shopfronts and offices

We deal with the usual cladding problems: green algae, black streaks running down the panels, dirty and faded boards, and the build-up you get on shaded, north-facing walls that rarely dry out.

How we do it

  1. Inspection. We check the cladding type, its condition and how much algae or streaking there is, then choose the safest method for that material.
  2. Pre-wash. Loose dirt, cobwebs and surface debris cleared, and surrounding greenery dampened down to protect it.
  3. Soft wash treatment. A low-pressure cleaning solution is worked across the panels, breaking down algae, grime and staining at the root rather than just on the surface.
  4. Dwell and rinse. The solution is left to work, then rinsed off thoroughly, leaving no residue on the panels and no water behind the boards.

Why it matters

Dirty cladding lets the whole building down, and the problem is more than cosmetic. Green algae and black streaks hold moisture against the panels and joints, and over time that weathers the finish faster than it should.

Blasting cladding with a high-pressure jet is one of the quickest ways to crack a panel, strip a painted finish or push water behind the boards. That’s why we soft wash it instead. Low pressure and the right cleaning solution shift the growth itself rather than just the surface dirt, so the clean lasts longer, and Ryan is Module 2 chemical-handling certified so the solutions are mixed and applied properly. We still do plenty of jet washing and pressure washing on surfaces that can take it, like driveways and patios; cladding just isn’t one of them.

Cladding cleaning FAQ

The questions we get asked most about cladding cleaning in Bolton and Greater Manchester.

Is soft washing safe for cladding?

Yes. Soft washing is the safest method for cladding. It uses low pressure and a professional cleaning solution rather than a high-pressure jet, so it lifts algae, grime and streaking without cracking panels, forcing water behind the boards or fading the finish. We match the solution and dwell time to your cladding type, whether it's uPVC, composite, timber-effect or painted.

What types of cladding do you clean?

We clean uPVC, composite, timber-effect and painted cladding on houses, extensions, garden rooms and commercial units. Whatever the material, we assess it first and choose a method that's safe for that surface: soft washing on delicate panels, with only controlled pressure where a finish can take it.

Will cladding cleaning damage the panels or the finish?

Not when it's done properly. The biggest risk to cladding is someone blasting it with a pressure washer, which can crack panels, strip paint and drive water behind the boards. We lead with low-pressure soft washing, keep water off the joints, and we're fully insured throughout, so your cladding is cleaned safely.

Do you do commercial cladding cleaning?

Yes. We clean cladding on commercial and industrial units, shopfronts, warehouses and offices as well as homes. We can work around your opening hours to keep disruption down, and every job comes with a fixed price agreed before we start.

How much does cladding cleaning cost in Bolton?

There's no fixed price list. Every building is different, so we quote per job based on the amount of cladding, the material, the access and how much algae or streaking there is. Send a few photos and we'll give you a rough estimate, then confirm a fixed price at a free visit. There's no obligation.

Do you do cladding cleaning near me?

We're based in Bolton (BL1) and cover the BL postcodes and the wider North West. If you're searching for cladding cleaning or a cladding cleaner near you, send us your postcode and we'll confirm we cover your area and arrange a free quote.

How often should cladding be cleaned?

Once a year keeps most homes on top of it, and shaded or north-facing cladding that greens up fast is worth doing yearly. Because a soft wash lifts the algae at the root rather than skimming it off like a jet wash, the clean lasts longer between visits.
